A recent study published by Psychological Science indicates that having a purpose in life is an indicator of mortality risk. Researchers Dr. P. Hill and Dr. N. Turiano studied individuals for 14 years, based on the Midlife in the United Stated (MIDUS) Study and found that individuals with a sense of purpose live longer than people that don’t have such goals.
