While everyone agrees that Google is the largest search engine in the world, one would think the second place would be a close call between Bing and Yahoo, right? Well not exactly.

The second largest search engine, believe or not, is YouTube, the brainchild of three former PayPal employees: Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim, that was acquired in 2006 by Google.

We are used to flying some much these days that sometimes we forget the incredible engineering innovation that first enabled an aircraft to fly.

I believe no one can deny Google is the most successful technology company in the recent years. One of the keys to their success is their approach to innovation.
Just to give an example, a few weeks back, I posted about Calico, their venture into biotech (You can read my post here www.bubblews.com/news/3103964)

Most of you might remember the famous selfie taken by Ellen Degeneres and friends during the Oscars earlier this year, and that went around the world in a matter of minutes.

Last night while reading a post from &Javaman74 that went viral for him (see it here www.bubblews.com/news/1429953), I learned about another a publicity campaign having to do with the World Cup.

With the constant evolution in technology, the way we enjoy movies at home has changed a lot in the last 40 years or so, when the tape formats were dominant. Starting with the Betamax we then moved to VHS format back in the 70s and 80s.

On the morning of June 1st, I was following live the last stage of the Giro d’Italia, watching as the riders arrived in Trieste, where the race has ended after 3 weeks of competition, covering more than 3,400 Kms in 21 days.

Nine days before I first posted about a Colombian getting the pink jersey (Maglia Rosa) that identifies the race leader ( www.bubblews.com/news/3472893), it was still a dream that they hold onto it, and get the final win.

Based on the latests results I am very happy with my basketball forecasting abilities, who knows I might have a career as sports commentator.

Anyway, the NBA Finals are set, and as per my previous post a week or so ago ( which you can read it at www.bubblews.com/news/3457048), the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs have won their respective Conference Finals and will go on to play for this year’s NBA title, in a re-edition of 2013 finals.
